Prudence Houedegnon joins the BIOFIN Global Team as an Environmental Finance Analyst for the Africa Region.
He supports countries in designing and implementing Biodiversity Finance Plans (BFP), providing technical assistance on finance solutions, capacity building and knowledge sharing to strengthen resource mobilization and sustainable biodiversity financing.
His career spans leading consulting firms, NGOs, and research institutions, where he has played a key role in designing and delivering high-impact climate projects, including Green Climate Fund (GCF) proposals, national climate strategies and plans (NDCs, LT-LEDS, NAPs, etc.) and environmental finance frameworks. He served as a Climate Finance and Policy Specialist at The Green Finance and Technology Center and, more recently, as Africa Finance Lead for the UNCCD COP16 Riyadh Action Agenda (RAA) at Ambition Loop.
Prudence holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Tongji University, China and a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Parakou, Benin.
He has authored several publications on environmental finance and sustainable development and is fluent in both English and French. Prudence is home-based in Benin.
