BIOFIN is a US$58 million programme managed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), implemented in partnership with the European Commission and the Governments of GermanySwitzerlandNorway, Belgium, Flanders, the UK, Canada, and France.

BIOFIN works with a wide range of partners to share experiences and tools, jointly organise and implement activities, and provide technical feedback on substantive products. Important national-level partners are shown in the country sections.

Major partners include: the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the BESNet, the UN Poverty and Environment Initiative (PEI), the OECD, the UNSD and the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA), the Global Environment Facility (GEF), ValuES, WAVES, TEEB.
