
South Africa is updating its National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans (NBSAPs) to align with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and its Target 15, which calls for greater transparency on how companies and financial institutions impact nature.
The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is convening a national consultation with the private sector and real economy stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity for businesses, financial institutions, and sustainability professionals to help shape South Africa’s approach to biodiversity and nature-related disclosures.
