Jana Hozlarova

Project Operations Analyst

Jana Hozlarova leads the financial closure of BIOFIN global projects and provides guidance and support to BIOFIN country project teams throughout the closure process.

Jana brings nearly two decades of experience with UNDP, having served primarily as a Finance Analyst. She began her UNDP career at the Bratislava Regional Hub (BRH) in the Resource Mobilization unit, later taking on a detailed assignment in New York within the BPPS Programme Support unit. Following the relocation of BRH to Istanbul, she returned from maternity leave to support four regional projects as a Programme Associate within the Istanbul Regional Hub. She then transitioned to the global level, supporting projects outsourced from BPPS HQ to the Nairobi Global Policy Center. Subsequently, she became the first member of the Nature Hub Management Support Unit, where she provided financial, operational and programmatic support to all global projects.

Jana holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia. She also holds a certificate in Public Accounting under the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) as well as a certificate in International Public Financial Management from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), England.

Prior to joining UNDP, Jana gained experience in the private sector, including serving as a Finance Analyst at the IBM International Service Center.
