The UNDP BIOFIN Uruguay team actively participated in Sustainable Brands Montevideo, an international event that brings together ideas and good practices on sustainability, innovation and business purpose.

The event took place at the Sofitel Hotel on Tuesday, 29 July, and at WTC Free Zone on Thursday, 31 July. During the workshop, the team joined roundtable discussions with businesses to explore biodiversity-related challenges and opportunities and identify ways to collaborate with the private sector.

Participation also provided an opportunity to share BIOFIN’s approach and progress in Uruguay and strengthen connections with business and environmental stakeholders committed to a more equitable and regenerative economy.

Sustainable Brands is part of a global conference network spanning cities including San Diego, Istanbul, Madrid, Paris and Buenos Aires. In Uruguay, the local edition is organized by LOVING Comunicación in partnership with Urban Grupo de Comunicación and Sustainable Life Media. It brings together businesses, agencies, institutions and organizations committed to a new development paradigm.

These spaces for dialogue, collaboration and inspiration help advance environmental and social regeneration through private-sector engagement.
